Beneficial Bacteria

Bacteria are always present in our mouths, in our bodies and in our environment. Creating an environment where the destructive bacteria cannot thrive is the best form of prevention. Good or beneficial bacteria in our bodies ensure our body functions properly and we get the nutrients we need from our food. We cannot sterilize our body and expect it to work properly. Wellness or homeostasis is a balance of all systems in our body. Everything is connected, everything we eat, say, and think can promote health or it can promote disease. It is always our choice!

The health of our teeth, mouth and body is determined by our food and drink choices, how we handle stress, our genetics, our lifestyles and our general state of well-being.

Teeth are living parts of our bodies. If our body chemistry is out-of-balance, the vitamins and minerals we absorb from our food and supplements are not adequate, our body tries to balance the mineral flow by taking from one part of our body and putting into another place. Calcium is one of the most important minerals for blood, heart, and bone and teeth health.

Proper breathing, proper hormone levels are also part of the bigger picture of health. Our bio-mechanical health is also very important. Our posture, stance, flexibility, strength all affect how great we feel and determine what we can enjoy and accomplish. Working with an osteopath, chiropractor, massage therapist and physiotherapist maybe become part of your program for wellness.

Determining toxic exposure may also be part of what you need to do to become healthy. Working with a naturopath, holistic nutritionist, colon therapist, will help us to clean our personal house - our body.
